ABOUT
Albany Chicago- Style Steppers is a community organization  that  teaches and promotes Steppin'  in  New York's Capital Region (Albany/ Schenectady/Troy). It is a smooth calm dance of striding, gliding, dipping, and dabbing to music by popular African American big bands and singing groups during the late 50’s and early 60’s and more recently,  R and B , Soul and Neo Soul .

Brian and Yvonne

Your Instructors

Brian and Yvonne have been married for over 25 years and teaching Chicago- Style Stepping together for three years. They have a natural flair for breaking down the steps in a fun and easy-to-follow way. Their energy and enthusiasm make classes informative, fun and exciting . Brian learned to step in 2017 by travelling to NYC, Hartford, Boston and of course Chicago to take lessons and learn from some of the best instructors and dancers in the country. Soon, Yvonne was travelling and learning with him. Stepping rekindled their friendship and even improved communication. Since then, they have continued to genuinely represent what stepping and teaching stepping means to them- a way to spread love, build friendships and relationships, enhance communication and a way to meet like-minded people and share their love of the dance and it's music!
